The use of multi-material construction gives Callaway engineers the most freedom in designing the very best golf clubs. Complete Inertial Design considers all the golf clubs characteristics then balances these characteristics to maximize the overall performance of the golf club. Carbon Composite Body - At Callaway carbon composites are used to move weight to the areas of the clubhead where it is needed. The use of carbon composites is unique to Callaway golf clubs. This technology took 10 years to develop. Tunite Alloy is a new metal created by Callaway metallurgists. Tunite is a base of tungsten and nickel that weighs 20% more than stainless steel and is 2x as dense as titanium. Tunite forms the cradle of the club on fusion irons, and is used for the weight inserts on FT i-brid irons. TPU Sensert is a thermoplastic urethane layer that sits behind the clubface of fusion irons, and is tuned to the clubface to reduce vibration at impact. This improves feel and gives crisp, responsive accoustics. OptiFit Weighting System -This system allows golfers to design their club to fit their swing. This system uses 3 different weighting combinations : Draw, neutral, and fade. ( Available in most lofts. )
